SATELLITE IMAGE - Of my house

Technology has come a long way since the start of America. It has even come a long way from ten years ago, people are now able to go onto the internet and find basically whatever they're looking for whether it's a person, place or thing. Technology may seem like a great thing, however when privacy is added to the picture it can become very bad and downright horrifying. For example lets talk about satellite images. There are satellites in orbit as we speak, they allow for tv stations, music and even take pictures. Fascinating right? Well not if you are the person that the satellite is taking pictures of. Satellites can zoom in from space all the way to someone's hand and tell if they're carrying a penny, dime, nickel or quarter. It can all get a bit scary. Who knows who is watching you or taking a picture when you, your daughter, sister or girlfriend are swimming around or sun bathing. You may feel safe in your own backyard with your picket fences but you never know who is watching you from space. Obviously satellites were not intended to spy on American people, but truth is that technology is so advanced now that it is happening in some places. It is not just Americans who have satellites in space. Other countries are well advanced too and can do whatever they please with their satellites. Technology seems to be advancing every day. For the most part technology helps the average American, whether teenagers are using Google to find out school information or adults are able to email instead of sending letters by mail. However, privacy issues arise whenever something new comes onto the market. Satellite privacy issues have come up a couple of times but people don't seem to consider all of the possibilities that could arise from it. It's hard to feel safe doing anything anymore, people can be watching you or taking pictures whenever they want. If you haven't heard of Google Earth then look it up and type in your street address. What were you doing that day when a picture was taken of your house that you weren't aware of? How many other pictures are out there that you have no clue about?
