FEDEX EMPLOYMENT - Opportunity

It's difficult to find work in the current economic environment. Unemployment is nearly at 10% and that number doesn't seem to be improving for the average worker. That said, there are a few high-quality companies that are still hiring. One of those companies is FedEx. FedEx has been around for several decades and has a worldwide reputation for delivering packages on time. They are also a publicly traded company. If you're looking to start at the bottom of a solid company, you would be hard pressed to find a better opportunity than FedEx. If you check the classified section of your local newspaper, you might find an ad stating that FedEx is hiring. While the economy has slowed down, FedEx has so much business that they're still looking for workers. This is an excellent sign for their future. If they're hiring in bad times, they will surely be hiring and promoting in good times. Therefore, if you get in on the ground floor now, you could have an excellent future. If you don't see an ad in the classifieds, you can always call to see if they need help. In most cases, the answer will be yes. When you first go through the hiring process, you will be asked to take a test. If you pass that test, you will meet with a supervisor. If they think you would be a good fit, they will ask you to return in the near future for a group training session. The training session will be led by a manager and will focus a lot on safety. There are usually two to three training sessions required and they will each last a couple of hours. Once you're past this stage, they will ask you what area you feel you would be best working in. If you're looking to start at the bottom so you can work your way up, your best shot of doing so will be through loading and unloading. This is because you will be out in the open and managers and supervisors will be able to see how good of a worker you are. That said, pace yourself. Loading and unloading isn't as easy as it sounds. If you do make an impression and eventually advance to a managerial position, you will receive a 401K plan, FedEx stock, and health insurance. These are only a few of the many benefits of working at FedEx. Another big benefit is that your co-workers will seem like family to you, which can be priceless for many.
